But, the main area of Uptown Phoenix centers around Central Avenue and Camelback Road. Close enough that it’s within walking distance to the light rail.

Some of Phoenix’s most desirable historic districts land right in the center of Uptown. Medlock Place, Windsor Square, and Pierson Place all offer a neighborhood feel within blocks of major cross-streets. Walking Through Uptown
Right in the middle of Phoenix lies the perfect walking path called Murphy’s Bridle. This in-town trail is the place to get off the pavement and go for a stroll. Families and friends out for a bike ride or athletes prepping for a marathon, this path is great for all ages and accommodates everyone. Even more, you’ll have shade from olive and mesquite trees making it a touch cooler during those hot summer days. This trail runs just south of Dunlap Road, past Bethany Home Road, and often backs to residential areas and the Arizona Canal.
